I dont really understand the question, but they first start out as curls and after a lot of brushing  a wave patttern starts to form on your head.

They'll usually show up in small areas and with more brushing will become more defined. I usually notice that right after i take my du rag off i got a real nice wave pattern but it needs to be brushed down a lil. Just keep on workin at it and u'll be fine...

at first your hair will be all wavy. they will resemble "s"  in ur head. hence the name... s-curl
