I recently bleached my hair (which i'm not new to) but this time i overbleached...and am experiencing dryness and some breakage (though not as bad as I know it could be, thankfully)...does anybody have any tips for remedying this, or at least improving the quality and making it stronger other than growing it in? and ALSO...i'm experiencing some scalp tightness and soreness which scares me to no end, because that has never happened before...and i wanted to know if someone has gone through something similar, is it a very serious problem, etc...(i think i see roots growing in already, never thought i would be happy to see those...) thank you in advance

I have never had tightness of scalp , soreness a few times, due to overbleaching, it fades over time.

However restoring your hair back to it's healthy self is a myth, You will never truly be able to do that, unless of course you grow your hair out.

However I have breakage and dryness, and I use Pantene Pro-V very cheap and it works wonders. Never wash your hair everytime you shower, sometimes I go three dayz without washing it, however I do CONDITION my hair every time I shower (if I didn't my hair would look like I stuck my finger in an electric-socket!) use deep conditioning products, they work, but only for a short time, so everytime you shower condition.... that's my advice!
There is no way to fix hair, you just kind of deal with it.

Thanks for the advice...I'm trying to fix the scalp problems with some topical aloe, amd it seems to be helping. I know that you can't return damaged hair to it's normal state, so thank god I only damaged a small portion (my bangs) and not my whole head. after this disaster...i have scared myself into growing it out and not chemically treating my hair for a very long while (at least until every inch of it is my natural hair). I've been using Aussie for color treated hair...it works really well but the overbleached part is still very damaged so i'm considering using protien reconstructors.
