I finally have a recent pic of me -

As I'm transgendered, I can manage to have a decent face but unfortunately, not the best shaped head. My Jawline is a little larger than it should be, and I'm not fond of plastic surgery(except for the obvious).

I'm not sure if loosing weight would help that, but the thing is, would short hair expose that too much, or do you think it would cover it the same?

I'm still looking at this style -

If I can pull off a style I like and I don't look like ass, I'll be happy, otherwise I'll miss my long hair. I think I prefer big hair to long hair, and my hair is a bit too long to be as practically big as I like it right now... my hair poofs out when shorter and i hope to take advantage of that.

How do you think I'd even pull off that style? As I said, my hair is naturally "big" and curly, but how do I get it to stand up all over like that, is it just simple hairspray? I might try to get a longer version of the style with some good hairspray.

It's up to you, but I'd keep the longer hair. I think it's a softer look even though it's a radical color. :) (Very cool color, BTW.) I don't think the poofy one below will soften your jawline any. I think it will draw more attention to it as a masculine rather than feminine feature. Honestly I don't think it looks very "sharp" anyway so you're probably just fine in that department! You look lovely, keep it up and good luck with whatever decision you make!

I think I want to go for a slightly longer version of that style... I'm not so sure though, I've heard bad stories of "You're a boy, you should have short hair" from TS friends...

Some of my hair is pretty dry though from all the bleaching/dying attempts.

I do prefer longer hair(as long as it's somewhat big), but I'd like to have properly bleached hair some day and it's impossible with my current hair.

OK hon, well, if you do want to go for the style the first thing I think you're going to need is layers. (Are layers? Is layers? LOL...where are the Grammar Police when you need them?) The reason is that you won't get "bouncy" curls up top unless there's less weight up there. I know this from experience.

Ask around and find a REALLY REALLY trustworthy professional to help you shape your hair. To some stylists, "layers" means 80s feathers. You want to keep the top layers long (about midway to your ear) and graduate down to the bottom length, however long you want that to be. Then you can decide whether you want to perm, or just leave it loose and wavy (is that natural wave in your hair? If so, then you definitely don't need the perm) or just use hot rollers or overnight soft rollers for that effect. From the way your hair looks now, I think it could definitely turn into the pic you show on the bottom. It's wavy/curly and plenty long enough to shape.

Don't listen to TS "rules". I'm not TS but there are rules galore no matter what sex, age, status, etc. you are and I say, s*re* 'em. :) I'm 38 years old and am not supposed to have long hair. I decided that rather than make a handful of other people satisfied for 5 minutes looking at me, I'd make myself satisfied 24/7 looking at myself. Go for the hair and clothing you want. Life is short, honey...go for it!

I don't mind ending up with 80s feathers :) Since my hair is curly, I imagine it would end up like that picture if they tried anyway. I'm just worried they'll cut it short short :/

She actually has a very similiar jawshape to me, just much thinner, shame.

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a fringe, would it go well with that style?
