I don't think its that bad!  How about getting a violet tone on it to make it either platinum white or a darker ash blonde?  I can see how you might not like it because its yellow/golden toned and your skin is pink (cool toned), so if you get a violet or ashy tone over it, you may like it better on you.  (Or you can also get a slightly darker violet based tone put on it to make it a 'slightly' darker ash blonde, both of which I think would look excellent on you.  (I'd go back to the salon and let them do that, its easier...he didn't mess up per se, he just didn't realize that you may look better with an ash tone than with a yellow one).

One way to be sure about this is with your clothes - do you ever wear yellow?  Do you feel you look good in yellow shirts?  if not, that may be why you don't like this shade of blonde.  If you're one who can wear lavendar and look good in it, you should go for ash when you go blonde instead of golden shades.

I think he is right about waiting though.  If you have wounds on your scalp you don't want to put more chemicals on it just yet.

You can always go back to red too, if you really want to.  Be aware that they may have to dye it more than once to get it back to red because its now lacking all the pigment that usually counters the bases in dyes, or they may need to use some sort of filler first...and it may also  fade kind of quickly because bleached hair is very porous, so you may have to get the red redone every once in awhile.

Depending on the color red you want to get back to but I'd definately recommend waiting a minimum of 2 weeks I'd recommend 3 weeks and you should begin to deep condition your hair every other day to get the hair into a stronger state so that another chemical service can be performed safely on your hair.

You would be doing what is called a tint back. They would need to fill with an Orange Filler since you are going back to red and then put your color onto the hair after the filler in processed to return you close to your original haircolor.

The scabs on your head that's INSANE! What did the salon say? They try to tell you that is normal? Ummmm well NEWS FLASH! IT'S NOT!

Total BS you should go back to salon and tell them your PO'ed they burnt your scalp, etc. Tell them you paid $290 and you have burns on your scalp! WTF!!! You want your money back and some deep conditioning treatments to get your hair into better shape.

Do you know if they used a liquid, cream or powder based lightener? Powder based is the strongest but it is also the most damaging to the hair strands and it's not to be applied directly to the scalp as it will cause burns on a client. Totally unacceptable! How the heck do some stylists get their license to practice in this field...UNREAL!
