Say, I just started trying to spin so I got that initial pattern going.  I started from a dark ceaser and trained my hair using a dome cap and durag combo.  Right now if I use a 2 guard with the grain it won't take much off cuz my hair lay down real good.  Since I got that initial spin starting to come in, do I need to go ahead and cut with that 2 guard?  Or do I need to let my hair grow out some more?
The world is mine.

That's a good question. I just got my pattern comming back and I see my barber every week, at least for an edge up. but i've noticed that my waves show better on a light ceasar. Is there any body else with that situation, or is it me?
you do your thing, let me do mine we'll get your b!tch on the phone and we'll see who's lying!

When I started waving back in the day I used to keep a light ceasar cuz my waves always showed up better.  But I was also slacking on my method back then.  Now I'm trying to get those deep 360's so I'm trying to stay away from a light ceasar.

The world is mine.

maybe u should try against the grain, or combing ur hair backwards then goin wit the grain.... or are u too scared? jk wit ya. sum ppl are afraid to go against the grain or to do nething against the wave pattern, but if done right, it shouldnt mess up nething. i do it all the time and im still spinnin and so do sum other ppl on this site. after gettin my initial wave pattern, i kept lettin my hair grow out till about 2 inches till i got a cut when i first started.

I'm suprise that there is answers for his question and no one pointed out how it doesn't make sence.

He says that if he was to cut with a #2 WTG it wouldn't takes much off and then ask should he cut with a #2 WTG or let it grow out longer.

Well since a #2 WTG won't take much off then Obviously you gonna have to let it grow out more in order to get it. Or take sjay advice, unless your scared.....lol

and du-rags don't train your hair, brushing do.

Practice makes perfect, I messed up a few times when I first tried cutting my hair. It saves you a lot of money and you have complete control over the out-come
