Well, I am 25 and I got highlights for the first time yesterday.  I did not go to an African American stylist, so I'm not sure she picked the best color.  I think it was called Mahogany.  It looks kind of burgundy.  I don't think it looks too bad and my friends like it, but what do I do if in a couple of weeks I hate it?  Can it be changed or am I stuck with it until it grows out???  I'm probably overreacting, but I have never colored my hair, so this is very very new to me.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!  Thanks

Sounds like a pretty color.  If you end up not liking it you will probably have to color over it.  Do you know if she used permanent hair color or not?  If it was permanent you will have to color over it.
