When I was a lot younger before I'd ever started coloring my hair, I had such beautiful hair. It looked just as shiny and healthy as the hair in Pantine comercials. I should have listened to my mom, as she told me never ever to color my hair, but I didn't listen. I've probably had every color hair possible, and right now I'm having hair trauma, see my other post (EXTREME HAIR TRAUMA) I've never just let the re-growth grow so all I have is healthy natural hair, but I was wondering, if I were to do this, because I'm going to have to cut my hair very short now, will my hair grow out and look like it did before I ever colored it? Or has my hair permanently been changed forever even if I never do anything to it again?
I know this is an old question but I felt I just had to answer it. I also had lovely shiny hair before I started colouring it. Hairdressers used to comment on what good condition it was in. I've been colouring for 25 years now and as soon as I started all the compliments stopped.
Eight months ago, I stopped colouring. The regrowth is back to its original shiny, strong condition. Even my hairdresser said she likes it.
