Vaseline/murrays/pomade question

aight i bought murrays orginal pomade (orange tin) awhile back but i wasnt into waves back then and figured it was useless so i never used it. so my mom took it and used it for something. well now i went back and looked at the tin and the ingredients are

petroleum mineral oil and fragance THATS it

aint that the same exact thing vaseline has? (besides the fragance but who gives a**** about that) so couldnt you use vaseline as pomade? has any1 here ever done this? and is it any good?

petroleum and mineral oil are both bad for your hair, b/c it clogs up pores in your scalp. JUST a FYI; if you do use it than i recommend you to use it only for 1 day and wash da pomade outta yo hair if it was thoeses 2. vaseline is also bad fo hair cuz its contains "petroleum " which is vaseline.

so what do u use for pomade tho? doesnt every pomade have petroleum in it?
