Post a link? What do you mean? Go to your local library--they should have magazines from over the years, check Jan. 2000 seventeen. There are peoples' tips. Maybe check their website.

Help us out here, dude...  Tell us about a few of the tips... and how many of the tips they described are long-hair-friendly?

I don't think the article is or was ever available online.

Sorry to keep you waiting Anaissatin, Dave, and yall...well here's a few, some are products some are tips:
Sleek hair:ARTec Textureline smoothing shampoo
Products with silicone smooths fuzzy strands
V.S. Volumizing Texture
Clairol Daily Defense Shampoo 3 for relaxed hair
Use cool water to increase circulation and shine
Condition relaxed hair as often as possible. 1-3 minutes
Don't pile hair on head when washing, this creates knots
Loose ponytail on top of head at bead(or satin pillowcase of course)
Dry shampoo on roots to build body
Don't rely on brush to build body
Apply styling volumizing products just to roots, putting on shaft weighs down
Hair color adds body, increases hair diameter
Chemical volumizer at www.ruskanim8.com gives limp shoulder length and shorter locks a lift
neutrogena heat safe to protect from blow dryer heat
Cold air helps lock in style after blow drying
silicone serum
Keep brushing to minimum to grow long hair
Pantene's ultra v strengthening complex
Shampoo in permanent colorings nice n easy and ultress by Clairol and Preference(Loreal)
uneven cut on ends for the "flip" or a pinch of wax and 2 fingers.
hope that helps

Thanks dude!

From the list, in addition to Anais' subset, I'd add:

 * Loose ponytail on top of head at bead(or satin pillowcase of course)

Back then I used the ARTec Textureline smoothing shampoo and loved it, but I have since found other shampoos I like just as much.

Au contraire, my whale friend... I advise you comb to detangle, optionally brush to finish... but definitely massage your scalp with your fingers to improve circulation.  Regular cardiovascular exercise helps a lot, too!
