What a Predicament!

I just don't know what to do. I got my hair cut by a lovely hairdresser, who I will now call my own. She did a good job and did exactly what I wanted. She was understanding and sweet. She said she wanted to fix my hair color (duh I do it out of a box, and hairdressers are taught that's a big no-no!) and she said something about breaking it up. I thought it was broken up already!! I mean I do have a few diffrent shades of blonde and dark roots through out my hair.
Anyways, I bought a promotion kit from the salon. 50 bucks got me a hair cut and style, manicure, facial, blah blah blah, and 6 foils, which I am going to use with my 20 percent off a full hair color job.
I am just hoping it won't cost me 200 dollars to get what I'm wanting done.
Anyways I want to get the top layer white and the under laywer a darker blonde with darker blonde pieces in it. I do not want to have those dumb Streak/Highlights coming out from my part. I think that's just dumb. I need something funky, and some kind of color I can put intoa  retro look.
My future proffession is goign to be tattoo artisit and I want a look that screams me and something hard core.
Can someone find me a picture that somewhat is what I described?
Kinda like Shakira's orginal color...  I just don't know what to do.
Do I go back to my dark color or stay with this hellish to up-keep blonde?
We spend wayt o much money on hair I say!
Here is what my hair looks like now... I think it looks good, specially for outta a box. However in some lights it looks rather orange.
Anywhoo, I know I'm rambling. Can anyone suggest a hard core, rock kinda look? With a picture attatched. Oh I ask so much of you all!

What level of blonde would you call the lightest parts? Does this not look BROKEN up to you?
