There are many people who choose not to go straight but want manageability so they choose to texurize. For most, it works out pretty well, hair is softer, easier to work with, less time consuming and it grows faster.
I have been texurizing for about 2 years now and my hair has been healthy and has grown about 9 inches. So far so good. So now because of the length I'd like to be able to have some versatility in styling it every now and then. I usually wear it in a ponytail or braids.
My question is, because a texurizer is essentially a relaxer, can I occasionally style my hair the same way I could with a regular relaxer? Meaning can I blow dry, hot curl or flat iron (with heat protection of course, or maybe even a straightening balm or serum)?
