Hey, I heard coconut oil is the best thing for damaged hair and I was told how much it can really make a difference by adding shine and strength. Has anyone personally tried it? I was thinking about getting it and trying it out, but first I want to here your expierences :)

I was a long-term user of coconut oil. It's not that big of a deal... No magic product can "strengthen" your hair . However the GREAT thing about any oil is its properties to make hair softer after hairwashes. Try applying some oil before you shampoo your hair. Coconut is a good oil to use for this.

And it does add some shine. The trick is to use only a little bit for a leave-in "shine treatment", maybe one or two drops only. rub it between your palms and stroke your palms down the length of hair.

   Hello Anais, Jammer

You got it... coconut oil is good.. used it some... But i love Extra Virgin Olive Oil.. But you got to make sure its NOT just olive oil.. cause the Extra Virgin is the frist pressing of the olives..

I put it in my hair at night,, I put some in my hand and rub them together and then spread it in.. and also make sure i get it on the ends.. and then in the morning wash it out before i got to work...      it also makes for a good hot oil treatment.. heat it up some and then put it in your hair and wrap it up for awhile..and then wash it out... and also if you go to the beach or spend time in the sun in the summer.. put some in and sit out in the sun...

Anais,, you still make me jealous of you.. but one day.. my hair will get there...

Brenda

Hairs to you and have a great hair day..
