I was just wondering if anybody knew which variations of this style were best for different people and if they make putting your hair up annoying? I also wanted to know if they can be done yourself, or are they best done by a real stylist/
To get them sideswept, you basically just grow them long so they're in
your eyes, then use lots of hairspray and such in the mornings to get
them to stay off to the side. Some also only cut bangs sort of on
the side to help with that. They look great on movie stars, but
for practical living I find them a total always-in-your-eyes pain in
the butt and cut them straight across above my eyebrows again (but hey,
to each their own).

I have them and I absolutely love them. They make your hair so much more interesting and if you get them cut at a certain length/style they don't have to be so hard to mantain. I do suggest going to a stylist though if you don't know what you're doing. That would be the best bet.
