Aight, I been growin' my hair for about 3 months and it is a good 2 inches. Is that normal, and is that enough to get it braided ?    If not, what kind of hairstyles can I get besides puffballs..(that'll make my hair grow quicker) ?    Thanks

The average hair growth rate is .5 per month, so your hair growth rate is just about average, and yes its normal. You definitely can get your hair braided, 2 inches is more than enough.

HTH~

it depends on what the hairstylist can grab onto. i don't think 2 inches is enough unless you want extensions

Some people can braid hair that short, but (because they have to braid it tightly enough to STAY braided), it will probably be really tight.

My niece can braid short hair so tightly that it hurts to think for a couple of days.

Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

yeah, like renata said, your head would be BLAZIN if you only have 2 inches, so I say you wait for about 2 more inches to fill in before you get COMFORTABLE braids.
