prom hair a curly mess

I have THICK curly shoulder length hair and I`m looking for a prom style. All I know is that I want to have an updo and keep the curls with some kind of hair ornament (crown, hair jewels, flowers whatever) also if it helps you any I`ve got an oval shapped face.

what are some tips for curly hair? do u have any pictures of any style?
