Does that maxi glide thing work on natural(nappy) black hair?

It works great on my hair.  It gets my hair straighter than anything else.  A lot of naturals love it.

Just remember it gets HOT, HOT, HOT.......

I do as Pokahontas recommended: turn the dial on the first dot and turn it off every few minutes to cool off for a few minutes! I didn't know that the first time I bought it.

The first one I bought it, I turned it to the number 5...it got too hot VERY QUICKLY, so I turned it down to the second dot. As soon as I finished my hair (had to turn it off a few times because it was too hot), I turned it completely off. That thing FREAKING MELTED around the plates!!! I took it back for an exchange and use it more carefully now.

I wouldn't recommend this for teens!

Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

Yes, it's better than a relaxer to me.

I haven't used it but alot of naturals like it. However, my sister has a flat iron that clicks off automatically when it's not in  use. Also, it has 5 settings and it  doesn't get any hotter than the number you put it on ( if I recall correctly she   keeps it on the number 1) I forgot what all she told me...she is relaxed.  Anyone know what kind offlatiron it is or have one?  I wont be able to reach her until next week.
