Hi Red legos
Thanks for your help. I'm still undecided about what to do about my hair. I don't know whether to use an all over mid-dark brown and then highlight or to use an all over bleach such as born blonde. I'm just not sure about this coppery colour that I have going on at the moment, its a kind of strawberry blonde but with darker roots as my natural colour is dark brown. Ahh decisions , decisions. Thanks once again.

I had the exact same problem a few times when I was blonde. Unfortuneately I thought it'd be 'fun' to go brunette and I'm now just waiting for the right time to go back. Anywho, I used the Born Blonde a few times, I think the results were good, but I do believe they may have turned my roots a slightly differenly color. I don't think I applied it right though. I think if you used it on your roots it would lift your coppery color. Just my opinion though, you may want to still ask around.
I'm not much help, I apologize.

I would like to get my hair back to the colour that it was in the little pic next to my post. At the moment, its a kind of brassy, coppery colour with fairly dark roots. The condition is ok as I've not bleached it for ages now but have used colours now and again, nothing drastic though, only semi's ect. Do you think that a normal store purchased lightener such as Born Blonde would lift this coppery colour ok? or is there something else that I should use? I just want to avoid the coppery colour going more coppery but I would prefer not to have to leave the bleach in for too long to reach the pale shade and I am aware that my roots are much darker so how do I avoid them turning brassy ?. Any advice or recommendations greatfully received but please bear in mind that I live in the UK and unfortunetly don't have access to all of the wonderful products that you lucky Americans have. Thanks
