No, synthetic hair is basically just little strands of plastic.  I'd recommend getting a lighter color and blending it to match, or using it as an underlayer

I have some syth I got from a local supplier in a #2.  Unfortunately my mom lives quite far away so I didnt have her to compare it to and it turns out she could use a #4, or somewhere in between a 2 and 4.  Is there anyway to lighten synth?  What if I leave it in the sun?  LOL
