My hair is up to my chest..its long and natually wavy. I don't know what type of shampoo to use anymore...because I have so many flyaways...

I use the Paul Mitchell brand--Super Skinny...I shampoo and condition..but there is still so many flyaways after air drying.

I don't want too much build up to rest on my hair, so I use Suave clarifying every other day...that gives me more flyaways...

I feel like I don't have any vibrance in my hair either...its just the flyaways that make my hair: Yucky!

I think the clarifying is a major contributor to the flyaways.  Personally I don't think anyone needs to use a clarifier more often than once a week max...and that's only when they're using A LOT of gel/mousse type products.  I would recommend that you reduce using Suave to once a fortnight.

I would also recommend that you add a rinse in cool water after you've washed and conditioned your hair.

Blowdrying may also help to control the flyaways, especially if you use a product like John Frieda's Frizz Ease Miracle Manager or the Toni & Guy blowdry spray (I can't remember the exact name: it comes in a red and white spray can a bit like a deodorant one) or any similar product designed to make hair smooth when blowdried.  You should also ensure that your hair is protected from the heat of the hairdryer by either this product or another one (such as the L'Oréal Thermo stuff in the pink bottles).

Lastly, if your hair gets flyaways during the day, try rubbing a tiny blob of handcream (yes, handcream, any brand will do, even a cheap one) between your palms and smoothing it over the hair.  Go very easy on the root area, otherwise it can end up looking greasy.  Handcream has a miracle ingredient that somehow smoothes down little frizzies and flyaways: for real!

Good luck - hope these tips help.

In the long run, you may want to change your washing routine by adding another conditioner to it. The more conditioning steps you do, the less chance for flyaway (at least in my experience). Here is some more information about cleansing methods.

Hope this helps
