my scalp has been getting itchy for a few months now and i don't know why. it's not SUPER itchy, i don't feel the urge to scratch like a flea-ridden mongrel or anything, but it's odd since it's never happened before. i use apple cider vinegar (ACV) and it works immediately, but after about 4 days, i get the itchies again. i'm sick of having to dump vinegar on my head 2-3 times/week!! i don't use product, i wash my hair only when it's dirty and condition the ends only. i rinse really well. would switching my poo/conditioner help? i'm 1/2 asian/white, so my hair is super silky, smooth, and there's a lot of it (asian), but also very fine (white). i get a healthy amount of scalp oil that i brush through my hair, but the ends still get dry sometimes. what products would you suggest to help?
I end up doing the same thing - the other thing that helps is to wet your scalp continuously for a few minutes, scratch off the scalp gunk (dead skin) with a wide tooth comb, or use your fingernails.
most of the time i love my hair (until i cut it! what was i thinking?! now i have extensions). it's just those evil dried ends! they tangle with anything and i don't know how to fix it. just the last 2-3 inches. feh!
