Thanks tffy2004.
I really need some new hair products.  I've been using Motions for awhile. Is been ok. I think I'm missing something I really just shampoo and condition every 2 weeks and deep condition 2x monthly because my scalp is dry. I don't feel like my I give my hair everything it needs. It's a good length below my shoulders but it grow so slowly.

Maybe wild growth hair oil?   I don't really believe that it makes it grow faster but it can help to retain length and just give your hair some condition.

Hi everyone, I really don't know what product is better than MotionsConfused, can anyone suggest a product. I usually where my hair in a sewn weave but I'm taking that out today and no more weaves for awhile.

well, maybe you shouldnt rush to try other products because searching for the right products can be a mother. you can ask people that have the same hair type lik you and if you're relaxed, ask people who have relaxers.

If you have plain olive oil in your kitchen cabinet, that's really good for relaxed/texturized hair.

I don't have a set regimen, but I have certain products I use. I can't promise they'll work for you, but I'll tell you what they are:

Creme of Nature shampoo for dry/damaged hair (my usual shampoo thanks to people here who reminded me how great it is)

Garnier Fructis shampoo (for when my hair is moist enough to almost over moist) I add some acv to it in a cup to clarify

Suave Milk and Honey conditioner (my usual conditioner)

Pantene Relaxed and natural conditioner

Shealoe (for moisturizing after I wash)

Profective (in the yellow container) (for moisturizing daily)

I don't use the above for moisturizing my blowouts because they both kind of "wet" the hair, which would make my hair curl/wave

Olive Oil and WGHO (for moisturizing after a blow out)

If I don't have a blow out, I wash my hair either every 3 or so days, or as soon as the ends feel a little dry

If I get a blow out, I don't wash my hair for 3 weeks if I can keep my hair straight for that long.....hey, I'm not paying all of that money to wash the style out in one week!

The trick to switching shampoos/conditioners is to know your hair and know when it needs extra moisture versus when it needs extra cleaning. I don't follow any particular schedule for my products, I just know when my hair needs a particular product.

You don't have to buy a lot of stuff. I'll buy something new every once in a while, but that's when something else is low and almost gone. I hate having too much stuff around.

For my hair, simple is best.

My hair doesn't grow as well if I use a lot of products.

Thanks for your replies. I will take better care of my real hair and leave the weaves alone for a while.
