I'm not a huge fan of Trimco. I just took down a full head of pinch-braided Trimco, and it was pretty trashed after only six or seven weeks of wear. I mean, it works well enough-- I'd get it again, the colors are brilliant-- but Plastikhaar is better as synth goes.

I agree, she should let me use my own hair.  She is a very opinionated worman, but she does great work.  It seems a lot of stylists  no longer install hair that they don't supply due to issues with bad hair, nits etc...

well that's just plain lame!  if you want a specific brand of hair, and promise not to blame any hair issues on her, then you should be allowed to BYOH.

also, i heard less than glowing reviews for trimco when i was doing my synth-hunt-a-thon a few weeks ago.
what I'm wearing: 1 pkg 18" DLux SS #2 and protac

ok, that's what I thought.  The stylist was saying how amazing it is and didn't seem to want to hear a different opinion. I asked if I could bring my own hair and she said she will only use hair that she supplies, she's had bad experiences with ppl bringing in their own hair and the hair turning into a disaster.

Dome, Prohair or Plastikhaar all were given better reviews and opinions compared to Trimco. Ive never used it so my opinion is only based on what other people have said.

Went for a consultation today for heat seals.  They use human hair or synth, and the type of synth they use is Trimco.  I remember way back reading some not so great things about this kind of hair.  I would like to know how it compares to Dome or Prohair.  TIA!
