Ok, my hair is naturally light brown/dark blond and has a perm in it. I got bored with it and tried changing the color by using Wella Presentation Light Golden Blonde. It didn't change my color at all. I think it was only a semi-permanent or something. So, I chose a permanent color by Loreal Excellence called Medium Golden Blond. I thought since it was permanent and stronger I should choose and little darker color but it only lightened my hair a *little* and left it with more reddish tones. In an effort to really lighten my hair I then used Fudge Paintbox Yellow Submarine to act like a toner but even it only lightened my hair a *little*. I would like to get this curly-top to a blonde stage but I have never bleached. Is there anything I should be aware of? I have the kit and am ready to go I just don't know if it will be worth it or work since nothing so far has really lightened my hair that much. Thanks.

Considering the number of attempts that you have made, I would be cautious of doing anything right now.  How long has it been since your last coloring?

You might try a high lift product like Clairol's "Ultimate Blond". This is as high as you can go without using an actual bleaching kit. Your natural color sounds like you might not need to bleach.
Before this you should ask a stylist if you should proceed to color after all the coloring jobs you've done-maybe a stylist can give you some tips on how and what types of conditioner (protein or moisturizing-maybe both) and get it prepared for the next time you color.

It's been about two days since my last coloring.

I strongly advise not bleaching it, wait until you grow out your perm, if you bleach permed hair you are going to have really really damaged hair, when it comes to cheicals you have to make a choice you can either color your hair hair or you perm it, you can't do both, not without destroying your hair.
