(REPOSTED SO YOU CAN SEE PICS)Hey
guys! As I have trusted so many of the opinions from this board for
awhile, I thought I might ask about a hairstyle...I'm getting my hair
cut thursday and wanted to know everyone's opinion as to if I should
keep my hair long or go for the short cut. I've included pictures of me
with several hairstyles and the pictures of the style I would like.
Thanks everyone and I appreciate any opinions (even though I'm back to
brunette)!!! :)
Well you are cute! That will certainly look good on you.
You will have to curl it every day to get the big curls in the back
(perming the curls in is an option, but that usually winds up a bit
frizzy and not like the curls in the photo - especially if your hair is
already a little damaged from coloring it).

You are very cute with your hair the way it is. I personally LOVE long hair but that has to be a personal decision. I had to cut my hair because I damaged it with chemicals and I hate it short. Good luck and let us know what u decide...post new pics if u get it cut.

I'm in that same boat with ya!! I had looooong virgin hair....light brown with natural red and bonde highlights. Then I got the stupid idea to become Jessica Simpson. (I'm 31....what was I thinking???)
Well...needless to say...I finally got to blonde and FRYING my beautiful hair. Then I decided that I wanted it back natural a year later. What did I end up with?? GREEN. I didn't know that ASH brown meant green over blonde. The salon got a laugh out of it. I cried and they wouldn't touch the color!!
Then I got breakage....right in the center of the top of my head. So my waist length hair was fried, green and I looked like a rooster on top. So the salon chopped the heck out of it...layered and layer and layer some more to blend the breakage. Then it was POOFY. Blech! I had to curl everyday or I looked like a fried, short, choppy mess with thin layers in the back. Cripes.
Now...finally...I quit dying, quit using high heat, started MAJORLY conditioning everyday....and my hair is now somewhat of what it used to be. I am actually a little bit happy with it. I can say that Biotin helps....gobbs and gobbs of conditioner, and a low heat curling iron with NO hairspray make my hair look somewhat pretty again.
BTW - I tried going back to brown, even dark brown....but the color will NOT stick. So I am still blonde, but it's a doable color. Not Jessica color anymore.....more of a dirty blonde/brown. Kind of nice for the summer actually.
I should post some pics for ya.

That is almost exactly how I ruined my hair. My hair was about five inches below my shoulders and I decided I didn't want to have brown hair anymore....I bleached it at home and it turned out good. I didn't have too much damage. But then....I decided to use a chemical straighterner on it...really bad idea. I totally totally fried and overprocessed it. It's been about 3 months and it's still not back to normal. I had to cut about 8 inches off because the breakage was so bad (well...it actually kinda just melted off). My roots started coming in that are dark brown so I dyed my hair dark brown and it won't stick either...it's a medium brown color but has lighted quit a bit....he he....I tried using a coffee rinse the other day and it actually darkened it up a bit.
So now I am getting about 1/2 an inch taken off every month until ALL the damage is gone. Then I plan to never, never, never use chemicals on my hair again. It's so sad that we have to learn the hard way isn't it? I do plan to henna my hair though when it is healthy.

I think you look lovely either way, but for some reason I think the shorter shoulder length hair suits you better. It just seems to highlight all the right features on your face and looks really sophisticated.
