Hello ppl I just got my corn rows yesterday. the lady put in alittle bit of some extensions in it but not that much. my question is when i take a shower shoudl i put on  a shower cap or is water not a problem.

also its kinda tight around my hair line i told her about this and i hope my hair line isnt going to  be pulled back. should i put like carrot oil or something in the hair line area so the baby hairs grow. she told me to use "doogrow".

and how long should i leave the braids in and when to rebraind them. any help appreciated =)

Water shouldn't hurt the braids but if you want to keep them fresher for  longer than I suggest that you put on a shower cap.  And don't forget to put a du rag or scarf on your head every night!

It's also alright to use oil on the edges if you're worried about your hair line.  It is true that tight cornrows contribute to hair loss, although I doubt that a little oil will do much good.  But don't worry, hair loss occurs over a long period of time...that's if you're ALWAYS wearing corn rows.  Give your hair a break never get corn rows over and over consecutively.

Corn rows should last 2-3 weeks...maybe 4 if u really take care of them.  But I wouldn't suggest rebraiding.  When they get fuzzy or you get tired of them just take them out and do a loose style on your hair.

Hope I helped,
Andi.

If your hair is natural, I wouldn't wet them.
