HI everyone!

I'm doing a 20 week stretch....and currently in week 14/15 and want to get cornrows. But my question is will it break off my hair?? I don't want to add synthetic or human hair or any type of extensions....just my OWN hair.

So what do you think?  How should I go about getting cornrows and NOT get any breakage?

As long as their not done too tighly, and are properly taken care of your hair should be fine.

I agree...with your own hair is best if you are going to do it. Just be sure it is not too tight.

Thanks for the replies. So with my own hair is best.....good to know.

I was also told that I should blow dry the new growth so that there is no breakage at the demarcation line (because of the two completely different textures). anyone agree?

Well applying direct heat is damaging maybe letting your hair air dry a little and use a low heat setting blow dryer with a thermal protect-ant on the hair and you should be fine.
