No Grow- Help Please

Hi,
my hair grew a lot last year, but I had lots of split ends, so my stylist gave me a trim of 4 inches & I hate it, it has grown but no matter how great care I take of my hair it starts to split around the 6 weekly mark, I use L'Oreals Resistanse Range (aka-Vita Ciment) for fine damaged midlengths & ends which is very good, last trim I think was not needed but I was told my ends were dry & would split soon now as I want to grow it I cannot see how when it is getting a trim so often, yes I am on several medications for epilesy, back disease& a drug called Baclofen which is for MS- which I don't have but I have Trigeminal Neuralgia which cause jaw spasms & the worst teeth & face pain (Ouch!!). I take hair vitamins/liver tablets & a range of other natural stuff from my Holistic Dr (who I like better than my GP), any advise to help me grow this hair would be great.
