Hello,

I have just had my hair hi-lited which has resulted in some white strands especially in the front.
My hairdressor used 10V & 10P (violet & pearl) blond toners but my hair did not pick up the toners well and it looks like straight bleach - somewhat colourless and yellowish, there are a few whitish strands in the front.

Which toners should I now use to warm it up a bit without darkening? I would like a very light cool blonde w/a touch of warmth to it, ie. a pinky tone.

Should I have her use a very light beige blond or ash? I have a lot of warmth in the rest of my hair as well which is ok, as long as there is no yellow or orange.

She is using Goldwell Toners.

Can someone help?

Thanks,
Shelley

Sorry to say this but from the sounds of it....there is no hope for your overprocessed hair. It has been bleached past the "pale yellow" stage. Pale Yellow is the lightest color the hair can be safely bleached to....from the sounds of your description your past that point, which means there is no remaining pigment for the toner to cling to. It's white or nothing.....no toner will remain in the hair it will just wash right out back to white. If you still want to try something I'd recommend Redken Shades EQ 9N to try and tone that hair to a managable blonde. It's actually a demi-permanent which might help but I highly doubt it. Sorry to be the bearer or bad news but G'luck.

Hi Sorry, I shouldn't have said originally that is was all white, it is mostly a pale yellow with a few white strands in the front where it overprocessed. I believe the problem is the toner was only left for a few minutes, I find this problem each time if it is not left on for a  good 15 minutes.
My question is what colours from Goldwell should I be using? I want to achieve a nice pale light blond but with a touch of warmth to it ie. a pinky tone. Should I stick with a pearl blonde (10P) mixed with maybe a light beige blond? or Ash?
