The Wave Nouveau & Ferm Perm

Im getting the WN tomorrow and I've been having doubts about it..I've read some entries about the Ferm perm and everyone makes it seem as if the Ferm is better then WN..I havent tried anyone of them yet and I need some info about the both of them..What type of rods do you use for the WN the circle looking ones or the rods..Same 4 the Ferm..Which rods do you use...What type of curls do you get from them both? Is it waves or more curls??
