QuoteReplyTopic: Need advice on cutting hair off Posted: October 29 2000 at 5:24pm
Hi, I'm new to the board. I'm looking for opinions on cutting my hair off. I've been growing it out since January of this year. My thinking on that was it had been short for so long and I was tired of that. I had a pattern of letting it grow for 3 months then cutting it all off, loving it for two weeks and then being miserable with it. So now it's reached my shoulders and I can pull it up. But, I'm still not thrilled with it. I have a heart-shaped almost round shaped face with somewhat of a pointy chin. I'm six months pregnant, but my face hasn't gotten full with this pregnancy, at least not yet. So, anybody have any advice for me?

Welcome to the board! This is just one humble opinion, but I advise you against cutting it off and instead to keep growing it past your shoulders and eventually to around shoulder-blade length (with regular trims every 8-10 weeks or so, of course). One reason I say this, besides my general preference for long hair, is that this may be your best chance to experiment with long hair, because your hair has probably been growing faster than usual due to your pregancy, and you've grown it out so far already. With the way you've described your face shape, I would think a side part would be much more attractive than a middle part. Daily options for variety could include ponytails, braids, french twists and (my personal favorite) pulling just the sides or part of the sides back while letting the rest fall freely.
If you pregnant your hair is going to grow real quick. So why not just let it grow long and beautiful? Or do you want to cut it? Let me know good luck whatever you decide.
