Hi everyone, i have waist length hair and have LOTS of broken hairs at the nape of my neck, underneath as well as on the side of my face near my ears. I do live in an area with well water and believe that is probably the culprit. Im wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I can do. I realize that i have to just let it all grow back, but I am wondering what I can do, if anything, to prevent more breakage. I have used oils and conditioners, so i dont think that is helping much. Also, I was wondering if anyone would recommend me cutting off a few inches and starting over. Any replies are appreciated!! Leslie brokenhairs

One thing to check: Do you wear necklaces? I noticed that whenever I wore necklaces, the clasps in the back would break off hair at the nape of my neck. If the necklace clasps slip around to the side, this could also be causing the side breakage.

Other things that do this: sweaters or blouses with buttons in the back, zippers, anything that catches your hair in that area.

Why don`t you cut your hair...you don`t need to chop it all off, but cut it in a different style...um use leave in conditions or treatments for your hair, it will help!
Inches don`t matter
