I have just past the shoulder length hair, I will be having it highlighted red this afternoon. I am looking for a pretty, feminine style that will stay in place all day...I have gone around to several websites with styles and how to do them, but nothing is "right." And everything that is `right" is sooo hard to do. Any suggestions? Does anyone know of a website with hair styles for medium length hair? Thanks soo much!

Hi,

I have to tell you that when I see these posts I am confused. Are you aware of the Interactive Style Selector at the HairBoutique.com Gallery? http://www.hairboutique.com/gallery/

There are literally close to 300 different photos of updos for formal events. Go to the Style Selector and select the "Style" Catgory and then select Updos. Many many of those styles are for medium hair and many are easy to do.

Also, there are several articles specifically writtern for updos for medium hair.

We have hundreds of updo styles here so I think this is a good place to start looking.

If you can make a ponytail, you can make most of the updos. They don`t have to be complicated. If you have medium hair, put it into any type of ponytail from high to low, use a curling iron or hot rollers, add curls, of any size or shape and then pin them down or glam them up.

I have seen some of the most gorgeous updos that are simple but based around the concept of the basic ponytail.

Best wishes,
Karen Shelton
