So I have been seeing commercials and ads for that new pantene ice shine shampoo and conditioner. now the conditioner alone claims to contain high levels of silicones to smooth the hair’s surface—almost polishing it.  Helps create the appearance of uniform strands, so hair fibers more effectively lie next to each other and create a smooth, glossy surface.... that right there sounds like a dream for extensions..no? Has anyone tried this yet?

I am buying it today and will definately be back with a review lol

also , the shampoo says: gently cleans to remove dirt, oil, sebum and styling products, increasing the purity of the hair's surface, to better allow light to penetrate the clear cuticle to the inner cortex of each strand.

you'll see:
  • Hair that's conditioned and shiny
  • Naturally reflective, smooth and shining strands that beam with health.
  • Smoothed cuticles with twice the shine*

I'm addicted..to hair extensions wheeee

hi hairjunkie247,

when you try it i would be careful to only put it on the ends. other wise it may cause your extensions to slip. what type of extensions do you have?

hey : ) yeah I am probably going to try it on some bohyme I have from a previous install. I LOVE doing that.lol. I have a bunch of wefts and I will wash and condition each with a differen't product and then compare. I am on a quest for the perfect fix lol. As far as my extensions...I switch up .  currently I am wearing wefts but, I have been doing this for over 7 yrs so  I kind of have a method to my madness. Like most people who have done this for a long time , you just develope you're own little ways of doing things that look great and work. thanks for looking out though

Honestly I still do the good old weft n bond lol. once in a while I do both. wefts on lower half and either fusion or micro links up top. depends. I like wefts though since it is always so quick. I just hate the whole glue though. I never really had a serious prob with it though.

I've tried the pantene ice shampoo and conditioner on my extensions and on my 5 yr. old daughters hair. It's worked well for my on my hair, but I'm currently wearing cuticle hair so it doesn't tangle anyways. I only used it towards the ends and it was so slippery and smooth! My daughters hair is usually a pain to untangle, but after using this, it took half the time it usually does!
