I tried some of those keratipped shrinkies, they rock!
It's a pretipped shrinkie but in the form of nail hair. The pretipped shrinkie is coated with adhesive and shaped in a nail tip so that all you have to do is heat the wand on the hair. No using a threader for these babies, they have done all the work for you. The best part is the shrinkie comes out intact when you take them out. And they are wicked cute!
I'll go take some pics to show you. But I love the idea, anything to reduce time and using a threader! I need a magnifying glass just to thread a needle.........
Not as anxious as I am to get my Bohyme in the mail from you! I can't wait!
I'll be right back. But I'm feeling very chatty this morning and I have so much to talk about I need to start about five new topics.
I'm not going near that insanity discussion where they are talking about suing or whatever they are talking about.
I have to take pics of my experiments that I have been working on too. Sherrie remember I told you about the extralong threader for microrings I made? Well now I can't find it because I have so much stuff everywhere! I am so glad I lost it because I came up with a better idea. pic on the way.
Experiment # 449: I tried to think of a way to improve the Extendmagic because I really like it although it could use a couple of adjustments. First I thought of just making a whole new one but then thought that if there was just more glue on those cassettes!! So i tore a couple of them apart and rebuilt them. I rewrapped the glue (doubled it)
so that there would be twice as much glue that would come out on the wand. But I forgot to leave the back part of the tape on so the glue just melted everywhere! Pretty funny. Then I did the same thing but left the backing on the glue. That came out good except it does still not get the bond quite hot enough. And that would be an expensive way to do it using two cassettes instead of one. So then I tried dipping one of the casettes (glue part) in a melting pot but that was even dumber than leaving the backing off. Another good laugh. Should have videotaped the experiment. I found some other double sided tape cartridges that I had previously bought for experimenting purposes and it worked ok but it's not the right glue for hair. Did anyone know that those cartridges that come with the Extendmagic are bobbins for sewing machines??? Yup, it's true! I doubt that too many people here have taken those things apart to see what makes them tick. But if anyone has, please pm me because I need to bounce off some of my ideas with another like minded insane person such as myself. All for the good cause of improving any methods of hair extensions of course. I only slept two hours so I'm off the wall, please excuse me! Ok where was I?
Hibraid have actually bought out another "cartridge" for the Extendmagic with double glue on but... they want double the money for it, can you get your breath. I think that that's a flipping cheek. This product was obviously marketed too quick, they should now offer the double glued tape for the same amount in my opinion x
It does. I only tried a few and they took a good hold and it was quick. I was given a bunch to sample. I don't have any details yet about ordering them. I'll find out though. I was just wondering if anyone else tried them or heard of them.
