QuoteReplyTopic: What to do with fine hair... Posted: January 13 2001 at 10:54pm
I just came to realize since I have recently been straightening my permed, long hair, that it is actually fine. I have kept it in a wash and wear curly perm for so many years (over half my life now)(I`m not telling numbers!) that this was a surprise.
The problem is that straight is in now and I like the control of a perm, but I don`t think I should do the really curly thing again... is wavy coming in style? Will it work in perm form or is it something to hot roll only?
Are there any new and recommended styles for fine hair?

I have baby fine hair which has been the bane of my existance for as long as I can remember. If you are able to perm without losing your hair it must be fairly thick and not real fine. From my experiences, fine hair looks best when it is allowed to be what it is--slick and straight. I recently cut mine off which was a huge mistake. I am trying to grow it back to a bluntish bob which I can wear straight and sleek. It is actually very pretty.
