hair treatment? (i want straight hair)

hi peeps, well i'm thinking of getting hair treatment because i want my hair to become straight (my hair is really thick, and poofy, and will only become flat if i sleep on it). i am filipino, and i knew someone who is also filipino that came from hong kong and she has really straight hair that she never has to straighten it, cuz she said she went fer hot oil treatment over there, so me, i straighten my hair every 2nd day (to keep it straight) but right now my hair straightener is dying on me, like losing it's heat, and i'm tired of straightening it, so is there some hair treatment (or relaxers?) that will straighten out my hair, looking healthy and slim? like should i just go to any chinese hair salon and ask for hair treatment? or is there different types of hair treatment? (i'm only 16, i don't know any of these chemicals lol) oh and i'm also wondering if this is a good way to go because i've heard of the japanese straightening systems damage yer hair cuz my friend went for it, and after a few months her hair was permanently damaged i think, it felt like horse hair! ok thanks :)

Hi, I have to plug the Matrix Opti-Smooth treatment.  It can be done hot (flat-ironing while wet) or cold (flat ironing only when hair is dry) and it is an absolute miracle cure for frizzy and curly hair.  You just do the hot treatment first, then do the cold treatment every 8-12 months after that until the hair grows out long enough to where most of your hair has never had the hot treatment, then you do the hot treatment again and repeat the cycle.  Here are some before and after pictures of me.  I got it done the first time in early 2005 and I have kept it up ever since.  Every bit of the curl in the before pictures is totally natural.  Please excuse the fat in the second before picture!  During my daughter's birth was the only time when I let my guard down enough to allow a picture to be taken of me when I hadn't spent hours on my hair!  Also, as you can see from the pictures, my hair ended up MUCH healthier after using the Opti-Smooth treatment.
