do you like your hair the way it is now (relaxed)? or do you like the way it was when it was natural?
since i am posting this question, i should be kind enuff to answer it.
so... i like my hair now, but i think that i would like it more if i would have kept it natural. it like the texture the most, soft and silky rather than damaged and harder to manage.
oh yeah... before i forget, i want to also thank all of you out there that are giving your 411 on hair care/info.
I like my relaxed hair, my hair has not been natural since I was about thirteen years old. That was many years ago . I also like the natural look, but I am trying to gain length now. So, I am not going to try to go natural at this time.
I absolutely love natural hair. I went natural last year for 12
months. I felt self-conscious because it is a hereditary thing -
small portions around my temple are extremely clear and see-thru.
So it was really hard to disguise it when I was natural. I had to
resort to wigs.
But now I am relaxed and there are so many ways for me to disguise and
feel confident. Girl, if I could choose, I would have Tracy Ellis
Ross hair...!!!!
I like my hair both natural and relaxed only I would pick relaxed because I can't take care of my hair natural and wouldn't be able to achieve the lengths I want because that would be too much hair.

With bands of rosy hue,
Tie up my sleeves with ribbons rare,
And lace my bodice blue.

I like my hair relaxed. I've experienced no hair breakage or other upsets with relaxers other than the occasional burn here and there. I get my relaxer done every three months, and in the future I hope to stretch this to just twice a year. I love the variety of different looks I can achieve with straightened hairl. I can wear it curly, straight, wavy--it's very versatile. But I do admire the beauty of natural hair. I feel as long as hair is healthy and you keep it well-conditioned (especially if it's relaxed) any kind of hair can be beautiful.

My hair has always been unmanageable, I would love to experience both my natural hair as well as my relaxed hair, together, but having 4B hair will not facilitate this. I have been relaxed since a kid, and I would have to say, I like my hair best, when relaxed or straightened. I love the thickness of my hair, which, it achieves thickness before length, so to get the length, I wear it in twists or braids. Did that for 6 months, now my hair is past my chin, with the sides on the shoulder.

I've always had relaxed hair so I don't know how having natural hair even looks or feel. I like relaxed hair. You just got to know how to take care of it!

Now that I know how to take care of my hair, I like both! I like the texture of natural and I like the versitility of relaxed. As long as the hair is healthy it will be easier to manage. I don't think manageability has to do with whether it is relaxed or natural
I agree with you Ladyflash. Manageability is a relative term, I believe both my relaxed and natural hair were manageable, just in different ways.
I'm sorry some of ya'll don't know what your natural texture look like. I didnt get my hair relaxed until highschool...everyone should have some type of sense of what their natural hair looks or feels like, IMO.

I know what my hair looks like natural its not a pretty sight i tried to go natural one time its like my hair was a sponge every time I would moisturize it my hair soaked it up and talking about tangles and knots my hair would knot up in a heatbeat, and taking about uncomable every time i would try to comb my hair the comb would stop it wouldn't even go through
I LOVED my natural hair but me bein so young and lots of the styles I want its just better for me to have my hair relaxed. I just relaxed my hair for the first time in 10 months about a month ago. I love the way my hair looked during the last 4 months since i had most of my relaxed ends cut but I just didnt know what to do with it.
I'm not gonna give up this time!!! My hair is gonna grow no matter what they say!!!

I prefer my hair relaxed. It is easy to maintain as far as no kinks and no ouches for me. I am very tender headed.
