I agree with metalgirl - ask if she'd be willing to let you only pay her cost for it. If she's looking to keep you as a satisfied customer, I think it's a really fair option since she's already indicated she's going to charge you something.
The bargain isn't such a bargain when it's falling out onto the floor right? :) Make sure the bonds are completely dry & also hold your hand on them against your head so you're not pulling when you brush. That might help slow some shedding in the meantime.

I wish you lived in Canada. You have a really good business attitude. I guess one of the reason I do not push it is because she is so inexpensive and believe or not she knows what she doing. I just wish she allowed to have the choice of cuticle hair in the first place. I think that she just did not want to charge me more, and she is aware that the cost is already out of my budjet. My husband and friends already give me heck for spending 400.00 on my hair every couple of months.
If you were my client, I'd replace the hair for you at my cost. The stylist picked a lesser quality hair to install on you, it was her decision to be cheap. I always work with higher quality hair, since it can avoid a lot of these problems that you are now unfortunately experiencing.
I really go out of my way to please my clients, so if something goes wrong because of what I did or didn't do, or the hair is just bad hair, I take care of it for no additional charge. Trust me, that's a good way to keep happy clients for a long time!
I just spoke to my stylist regarding the tangling and shedding. She says that is probably due to the hair she installed she says next time she will use cuticle and regular type hair. She also recommended that I do not brush the hair just mostly finger brush and just use the brush once a day. (It is wavy and long) I also have to go for maintence next week where she will take some out and put in some better hair. By the way I will have to pay another extra hundred to the cost for a full head of cuticle hair. $550.00 Canadian. I know that is a great price but it still is a lot of money for me. What to do?
I do the fusion and microrings, proshells. The only way your hair is prone to slippage can contribute to alot of factors. Hairlocs has a website full of stylist and I am quite sure there are some available in your area. From my experience with the locs , i had a client who had an install, I removed them and she stated that she had no slippage. In other words you will need a consultation from the stylist and one of her clients. Good luck to ya!

Hi- can anyone give advice on HairLocs? I am African American w/ a relaxer. Just wondering if they are prone to slipping? Also, any advice on where to buy good quality hair? I have heard of Extensions Plus. Any others?
I live in the Chicago area and I have been trying to find a good stylist.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to have my hair done before the holidays.
Yeah, I noticed when I pretipped my own fusion hair with indian remy hair, there was no shedding!!!!! When I pretipped with the BSS it shedded like crazy. So she is right. I have heard that from so many stylist, but some people are probably telling consumers it is okay to shed.........no it is not. You can wear fusion and not shed at all. You just have to use the right hair..
When you use wefted hair for fusion (cutting hair off the weft and then applying hot glue with a gun) I think it can be very hard to make sure that all the extension hair and also all the natural hair is well covered and encased in the glue. I have heard that other people also have had trouble with 'hand fusion'.
Another problem that could be causing trouble is the fact that wefted hair (and some strand hair) comes so coated with silicone coating that it impedes the adhesion of the glue.
I personally use silicone microrings or shink links for strands. They seem to work out well for most clients.
make sure you are blow drying the bonds completely after showering. Have you contacted the extensionist to tell her you are getting alot of shedding? I would start with her...

Thanks for the input. I believe the extensionist is good but maybel the hair is the trouble. The reason I think the install was done properly is because I went to another stylist who told me that this was one of the better jobs she has seen. Maybe it could be the hair. She supplied the hair so I am not sure what it is except that it is remy hair, and I have two colours medium brown mixed with copper bloned.
What method of extensions do you personally prefer?
Do you have any suggestions to at least slow down the shedding?

This is unfortunately what can happen with fusion extensions, and it's why I don't offer them in my salon. Some people have good luck with fusion and I'm sure that they'll offer their insights, but in my experience fusion sheds like a big dog if the stylist is not very skilled in installing it.
I have long remy fusion extensions in my hair which I got intalled about 2 and a half weeks ago. I find that I am getting shedding like crazy when I brush and quite a few tangles as well. I am not putting conditioner on the bonds and really watch what products I put in my hair.
Could anyone suggest what I should do????? Any ideas would be really wecome.
