I have waist-length, one-length hair except for some bangs. I am thinking that I`d like to make my hair a little more interesting with some layers. I particularly like the current "do" of Heather Locklear. I love the long layers that seem to be able to go under or flip up. How would I explain her hairdo and what I want to my hairdresser? I want to keep most of the length, but start long layers from the shoulders down. Is this possible and how do I explain it?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Find a picture that shows her hair exactly like you like it, take this to your hairstylist. She should be able to copy the style. I feel like you should always take a pic if you are getting your hair cut differently, this way there is no room for miscommunication. Good Luck, Lisa
