Ok I am not sure if anybody discussed this yet, but I have been hearing a lot about natural relaxers. From what I've researched they do not use harsh chemicals like the ones found in stores and they straighten about 85% of your hair. However they seem to work well with people with all hair types whether they have very thick to very coarse hair. The two that I looked at came from these two sites:
pardon me if this may be ignorant of me...but the term "natural relaxer" sounds like an oxymoron.
i had researched this last year, and i did not really trust it.
in my opinion, product manufacturers are getting hip to the fact that
more and more black women are going natural and the relaxed women are
starting to educate themselves about hair care. so, the hair product
companies are trying new and more deceptive marketing tricks to dupe us
into buying their creamy crack.
i am relaxed but i prefer a company to be upfront about their chemicals.
a chemical is a chemical...so why disguise it to be something else?
some companies refer to these "natural relaxers" as softeners, silkeners, blow-out kits, and etc...
but at the end of the day, if you read the ingredients, i am pretty
sure there are "chemicals" in the products, which makes them the exact
opposite of what they are claiming to be.
