Hi...I have a heart-shaped face and have been getting my hair cut in a chin-length bob for awhile now...currently I am letting my hair grow out because I am ready for a longer style...when my hair gets to the length I want it to (about 2-3 inches past shoulder), how should I get it cut so that it would look good with a heart-shaped face...I was thinking angled from the chin down with long layers in the front, but I am not sure...any suggestions?

Generally speaking, heart-shape faces need a softer, curlier style. A chin length look is usually an excellent choice. The objective is to create width around your chin. Side slanted bangs draw attention away from the jaw line. Typically the best look is full curly / wavy bouncy. However, you must take into consideration your facial features. Do you want to play up your eyes or your nose? Bangs for instance can accent your eyes and shorten the forehead, while hair off the face can balance your nose in profile view. Your hair type will also determine the best style. If natural curly, wavy, straight, make it part of your style. Your facial shape is only the starting point. Hope this helps.

Holly, just remember as your hair gets longer it gets heaver. So if you have curls the will straighten out some. Layers starting at chin lenght would work with long hair.
