I AM A NEWBIE TO THE BOARDS...I AM EXCITED THAT I FOUND THIS WEBSITE.. MY HAIR IS A LITTLE PASTED MY SHOULDERS...I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING SOMETHING I FOUND ON THE MOTIONS WEBSITE:

Rinse hair with room temperature water for four to five minutes.
Shampoo lightly with Motions Lavish Conditioning Shampoo.
Rinse with room temperature to cool water.
Apply a generous amount of Motions CPR Protein Reconstructor.
Leave on hair (without heat) for ten minutes.
Rinse lightly with cool water. Be careful to not strip all conditioner from hair ends or edges.
Apply Foaming Wrap Lotion (also available in Extra Firm) for a few extra days of hold.
Spray heavily with Motions Salon Sheen. Add a small amount of Motions Anti-Breakage Lotion on the ends.
"Wet set" and dry the hair (the healthiest styling technique for very dry and breaking hair) in the style of your choice!
Once hair is completely dry, apply more Motions Salon Sheen and style.
Never re-hot curl your hair–take a few minutes to roll your hair in the AM. Massage into the scalp and ends a small amount of Motions Hair and Scalp Conditioner (for lubrication, protection, and shine). Or, spray in Motions Oil Sheen, lightly! Everyday!
Sleep on a satin pillowcase.

NOW THAT I FOUND THE WEBSITE(WHICH I AM HAPPY ABOUT) I AM WONDERING IF I AM DOING THE RIGHT THING WITH MY HAIR BECAUSE THERE IS SO MANY NEW THINGS THAT I AM FINDING ON THIS WEBSITE. HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF HAIR I HAVE?? WHAT VITAMIN TO TAKE? THERE IS JUST SO MANY QUESTIONS...

THANKS FOR READING...

Hi, Im new too, but I have been lurking around this and a few other sites for months and have learned so much information.

That is a good regime that Motions has posted on their site. (They have a good site dont they!!) It should work pretty well, but you will also have to explore using different products to find exactly what works for you.  This regime requires you to buy alot of thier products.  Although I love Motions, my hair regime consist of other products as well too.  Some of Motions products will meet your needs and sometimes another product lines will perform better under different circomestances.

If you like this site, you may also want to try some of these sites as well:

Black Hair Media Forums
Long Hair Care Forums
Diaspora Hair Care Forums
Hair Boutique (of course !!!)
Relaxed Hair Care Forum
BBBH (Black Beauty Black Hair) Forum

These are all Black Hair Care forums that offer such a wealth of knowledge about Hair Care.  You can learn so much and find practically anything that you are looking for.  They all have search features where you can search for answers to all of the questions that you asked.

Good Luck.

Welcome to the board! It's not a bad regime the only that is missing is moisture...the regime includes 2 protein products: Protein reconstructor & the anti-breakage lotion and too much protein can cause breakage. Unless you are suffering from sevre damage you probably only need a light protein conditioner (Apoghee 2-min recon) maybe once a week. And a good deep con 1-2 a week. HTH

Welcome to the forum...I agree  make sure to include moisture in your regimen too.

How is spraying the sheen on everday? It seems like it would make your hair become greasey eventually...I would say that would be more trial and error.
