QuoteReplyTopic: HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted: November 15 2006 at 6:32pm
I've been trying to grow my hair out for 8 months. It doesn't grow very fast. My friend told me in order for it to continue growing, I should get it cut 1/8 of an inch every month so i dont get spilt ends. I have been, but my mom insists that she does it for me so we dont waste money. I made the mistake of not holding a mirror to watch her while she cut it and she cut it verrrry short this time. I want hair extensions because i have been wanting long hair for 8 MONTHS NOW. can you image, 8 months, and now it's just gone. She cut off 4 inches. =0
I feel a little bit like a drama queen, but I really want long hair. I'm considering hair extensions and know nothing about it. Please help THIS DAZED AND CONFUSED GIRL!!!
I cried for an hour after she cut it off.

WE understand on this forum the desire to have long nice hair, don't worry!
I am wearing Bohyme hair w/ Protac right now and I am very happy with it.
I would recomment you to check out the different options you have in terms of methos (fusion, clip ins, Liquid Gold, Protac) and in terms of hair (synthetic or human).
If you go for human hair, which is more expensive than synthetic, I would recommend you Bohyme, great quality and good prices.
I don't know so much about synthetic hair but you can make a research on this forum on the previous posts that have been written. (check out the "search" thing on the top right corner)
and... that's it!
If you want + help, maybe let us know what your budget is...
take care

If I were you, I'd read alot of posts on here and find a professional, just like frenchie said. There's no reason to cry about it. ...and cutting your hair won't make it longer. Extensions are quite addictive and can (not will) damage your existing hair, if done incorrectly or if you mistreat them.
arrrghhh, the MOM haircut! my mother cut my hair until i was 18 (you can imagine the interesting photos she has of of me)......keeping your hair moisturized and reducing/eliminating use of heat appliances will help keep split ends from forming as quickly so you wont NEED to have the ends cut off as often.....the long hair care section on hairboutique has good info on growing hair long....but in the meantime, either clip-ins or wefts and protac really is an easy method of do it yourself extensions (and yes, i remember crying too at least once after a MOM haircut!!) good luck!
