I`m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I`m interested in becoming a professional hair colorist. I dye my own hair a lot and have recently been enlisted to help friends and family. I really don`t know how to go about becoming a professional- I know I`d need training but I don`t know of any good schools or anything..

CHeck the yellow pages for schools near you. I`m sure you don`t want to travel far right? Also ask area stylists where they went and what school they recommend. Personally, I didn`t think we learned much in school. Most of what I learned what to pass the state test. I learned basics in school. Very basic. Alot of what I learned was in the real world - a salon.

Actually, I`m willing to relocate after I graduate. I`m interested in studying in a big city- I don`t know what`s in London, but I imagine there are some pretty hot schools there.

If you do not mind traveling, you have a ton of options. I would try looking online for schools.
