Hi,
As a Dallasite I can tell you that only a small portion of Texas is actually flat and that is in the North part of the state where I live. We have a lot of hills in the Central part of the state near Austin and there is some good rock climbing there. Also, the Western part of the state has lots of mountainous area near Big Bend.
Best wishes, Karen Shelton shelton@hairboutique.com

I forgot to answer the rest... I`m going to grow it out more than THIS, but still keep it "short"...Not farther than a little below my ears probably. Lisa

Lisa, where do you live? I think your new do sounds great. I was just wondering because I go rock climbing all of the time also and was wondering if we lived close to each other. Happy clipping. Are you going to let it grow out now or keep it short?

I finished with the #2 blade and decided that was enough and that I found it actually kind of cute (and very nice in this HOT weather!...but I had to put a hand towel in my helmet when I went rock climbing this weekend because it was too big without my hair ANd it`s already growing more than I thought...I just did it thursday! Lisa
PS. Added benefit, my boyfriend (who, while short hair isnt his favorite, actually likes it now) has fun rubbing my head for me cause it tickles Anyone bored and frustrated with their hair? shave it off it`s a blast!
Lisa, I am the first guy to reply to your post. I am a big fan of short hair. I think if you want to do it, then definitely go for it. I think you should clip it super short and let it grow back. It will be healthier and more manageable after it has grown back in. I bet you will love it. If any questions email me with your response.

I saw a girl with a bleached buzz cut and it looked great! She is a hairdresser and they used #2 clippers all over her head except to leave the bangs a bit longer in the front. All she had to do was wash her hair and spray it with a cheap hairspray (she said Rave) while pushing it up into spikes. I really considered it but chickened out at the last minute. My hair is very fine and I wasn`t sure it would stand up correctly. But go for it. Hair grows.....

Hi,
I think this may be way too drastic. Yes, when hair is damaged it works best to have the damaged part cut off but I have had many emails from people who went all the way and had all the hair cut off and regretted it almost immediately. I also read that Demi absolutely hated her hair that way and only did it because she was being paid a lot of money to act in the movie.
While I believe everyone should do what they need to do for their own hair, I think you should go with a shorter crop or pixie look that will remove all the dead hair but still give you options. When all the hair is gone, there is nothing you can do at that point but hope it grows back.

Lisa, I have actually seen more and more girls doing this exact thing lately. It seems kind of strange, but at the same time, kind of cool. I will have to admit, I am a fan of shorter hair, but this might be kind of drastic. I would make sure you are very confident of yourself before you do it. I also know many people that would pay good money to cut it for you. How long is your hair now?
