Please help! I wore braids for about a year, then relaxed my hair in November.  The relaxer did not straighten my hair completely.  Now when I wash it or it gets wet, it gets curly.  Which is ok, but it's not evenly curly,it's more curly on one side than the other. Can I put another relaxer in all of my hair?  I haven't relaxed since November, I've just been washing, conditioning, blow drying and flat ironing.  My hair seems healthy, and I don't mind not putting a relaxer in it, but is it healthy to blow dry and flat iron or use curling irons a few times a week?  Is there a certain flat iron I could use that would reduce damage? I would like to wrap it and sit under the dryer, but it's too curly to wrap.  I want to keep my hair healthy and growing.

I am not an expert but I think you can do a relaxer correction...they sometimes discuss it on longhaircareforum.com. Or you can go to a salon and have them do it. However if you hair is healthy keep doing what your doing, it sounds like you texlaxed the hair. You can blowdry and flat iron 1x weekly with no problems as long as you condition properly beforehand. I airdry before blowdrying and I love maxiglide.

ur supposed to relax ur whole head after keeping in braids for more than 6 months. there are good ceramic straight irons at sallys they range from 30 to 90 dollars. get a good thermal hair protector and daily moistuizer and ur all set.

I relaxed my hair from root to ends, all over.  It just didn't get straight, it's still curly when it gets wet.

you are not supposed to relax your hair from roots to ends. ever. even if you had braids in for 6 months. Your hair is underprocessed which is caused either by not leaving the relaxer long enough or the relaxer you used isnt strong enough.

You're fine with just conditioning it and blowdrying until you get your next relaxer. then you can apply some relaxer to the underprocessed parts if you want. goodluck

I love my maxiglide btw. Even though ive used it like twice. lol

Renee is right......You are doing more harm than good if you treat your hair again. I have read that you can perm from root to end if braided 6months or longer. But.......I firmly believe that for only people who have very course and very thick hair.  I hope you find a great style to wear for a few weeks.  No one is going to notice but you. Put it in a cute style and strut your stuff...everybody is used to seeing you with braids so they are not going to know the difference...unless you tell them. Natural is in baby....your hair is beautiful just the way it is! Good Luck.
