I'm naturally a dirty blonde (yuck) and about 3 weeks ago dyed it a light brown. The brown is fading fast, which is fine with me. I'm now considering platinum blonde and will definitely go to a salon. It will work great with my skin tone and all of that but the only question now is about the dye that's already in my hair. I use high quality shampoo/conditioner so my hair is very strong. Should I wait to go to the salon until the brown calms down or should I just go?

My guess would be to just go. You will most likely get a consultation first (if it's a good salon) and they can tell you if your hair is "ready" and what kind of results to expect. They need to see your hair to make the best judgements. Platinum sounds like fun, but once you go there, it may be tough to "go back" down the road. Ask your stylist if your hair will "take" color well if you decide to go darker at some point.
