What's good fellas....As the title of this post says...I'm taking a break from waving. Before I found this site and started waving, I had never even given a sh*t about my hair and you could say that waves were my first "hairstyle" at age 18...Unless you count a nappy headed low-cut Caesar, which is all I used to rock until I discovered waving. So as happy as I was with my waves and my progress....I'm moving on to try something new...I know it won't be braids cuz my parents hate that...so I'm prob. gonna rock the curls and end up lookin like Will Smith in Hitch or Caine from Menace II Society LOL

Right now my wave pattern is officially gone...I haven't had a cut in 6 weeks, and I'm not getting one for a while.....I've been picking my hair out too so now I'm just rockin' a mini-fro with a taper....Girls are already telling me they like the way I look with "more hair", so that's a good sign since I haven't even curled it yet..But yea.

Here are the pics I took of my waves before I made the decision....That's 4 and a half weeks rite there.

I feel you on that one fam true story, after my battle imma stop with the waves for a while also. If you not cutting your hair at least keep it fresh, I damn sure know girls hate that sh*t hell I hate that sh*t. Ya waves was comin along though, too bad about your pattern fam.

I can't stop wavin', I don't see how you guys can stand all that hair. The only reason I wolf is because my waves stay in. I used to get cuts every other week.

I can't leave my waves....and my waves can't be me.....we married 4 life b....as black men there aren't many styles we can do with our hair.....I don't want braids....dreads....I love the look of a fresh ceasar with a taper fade....and ya waves shiny and spinnin out of control......good luck with all that hair fam lol......curlz is tha only otha style I would do......and they are apart of the wave family!!!! So you and ya waves are still connected man!!!
TEAM BLACK SPINNAS.....I tell my barber make my cut extra fresh.....I got some hoes I'm checking out 2nite lol

As black men there arent many styles we can do?  I dunno bout all that, white guys get waves? nah, can they ge dreads?  kind of, not exactly naturally, only thing they got is straight long, whic we COULD do with relaxers like the chicks do, so i gotta say dey aint got nuffin on us cept maybe lame shorthair'd gel'd crap

yeaa... i been thinkin bout tht too....ive been pickin my hair out for a week and my hair is kinda thick and str8 and soft....i wanna get the curls going on but i dont wanna use too much products

yea fam i feel u on dat. i been havin my waves since i was 16. im 19 now n i get tired of maintaining every night n im juss bored wit n so r gurls. i posted a topic bout how to go from waves to da curly style. kuzz i want da same like caine had in menace to society n have da sides tapered a lil.

yeaa ive been waving for a while too...i tried teh curls...i used bees wax and messed wit my hair alittle too make it curl.....ez...but i wanna get it too shine....yeaa imma get a taper once i get theses curls str8
