hey guys...
Im in need of some help.. I was thinking of adding a few tracks to increase thickness and length every once in a while. But I am a weaving novice, so I was hoping that you guys would be able to give me some advice and instructions.
When adding a few tracks for a long period of time (weeks) it is better to braid or net the weave in so Ive read. What I want to know, is how long this lasts for and does it help promote growth? What can I do to prevent thinning of my hair?
When adding a few tracks for a short period of time (days) it is easier to bond the hair in. Now this might sound stupid, but you bond the hair to your scalp? Not your hair right? What is the correct method for remove bonded tracks?
What is the correct way to do a ponytail weave at home...step by step please, I am really hopeless at this type of stuff.
And finally how do make my own clip-in weaves at home, so I can add length whenever I want to without having to worry about braiding or bonding? I was hoping to figure out how to do this so I can create clip-in bangs and take them out when I want to...
Any assistance is greatly appreciated...thanks.

all I can say is the bonding is not such a good thing to do. Its faster than the braiding but the glue can just take your hair out if not taken out properly.

P.S. Im looking for answers for getting a full head weave, and which hair is better remy, human, or virgin.
There's an extensions forum here, but sadly there isn't enough information on sew-in weaves, and in particular not enough information on sew-in weaves on African American hair.. The few women on this forum who wear a sew in install only get partial weaves, and so therefore the data on full head weaves, and the intracacies of these kinds of installs is just not here on this forum.. I would strongly suggest you ladies check out the following threads to answer some of your questions:
Weave/Extensions 101: Helpful LinksThread (This thread is your bible for all there is to know about getting and caring for a sew-in weave. Black Hair Media has a TON of great information for the well coifed "weave-bunny")
HTH ladies..
