i'm doing a lot of experimenting since i have my natural hair out while wearing a weave..

My beautician gave me a styling wax stick long time ago to flatten and moisturize the sides of my hair..

i used "hair grease" last week, before applying heat, and of course my hair was "drawing up" in less than an hour..
 
I tried a  gel, and found my hair to be dry at the end of the day..
 
I was laying down my sides this morning, and decided to use the stick on the rest of the hair...then applied heat...
 
This is the best thing that i have ever done...the styling wax locks and seals in the moisture..and maintains a relaxed look, though my hair is a long, natural tight curl pattern...my hair was moist all day..soft to the touch, and maintained a wonderful blend with the relaxed weave hair...it was great..
 
Kera care styling wax before applying heat, for long lasting, soft style...i wish i had thought about this sooner...Smile
 
I believe they also have "curling wax" on the market as well...
some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.
